Community Collaboration

Join us for the first virtual conference hosted by a local chapter of the Freelancers Union,  SPARK Orlando, and Olora, an Orlando community builder. Olora reimagines local businesses as co-working communities for flexible and independent workers.

The idea for the Freelancers Conference came when Olora began its community campaign in Orlando, FL. The campaign plans were placed on-hold due to
COVID-19 and Florida's Stay at Home order.

With the understanding that a large portion of Olora’s target audience are freelancers, Olora’s leadership contacted the local Freelancers Union chapter (SPARK Orlando), which hosts free monthly events for freelancers.

Olora wanted to see how they could work together to provide the necessary resources and information for people who have been impacted by the pandemic. “The Freelancers Conference” was born.

Olora and SPARK Orlando united to organize a virtual conference experience, providing freelancer communities with resources to navigate the new future of work.

To further help the community, Olora and SPARK Orlando made the conference a donations-based event to donate 100% of the proceeds to the Freelancers Relief Fund. The relief fund offers financial assistance to independent workers to cover lost income and essential expenses not covered by government relief programs.
